Have been taking Dexamethasone 2mg twice a day and this does help with nausea, should I still be taking them everyday. If so only have 3 tablets left and not sure where to get more. Have contacted mcmillan nurse yesterday morning and left message but as weekend coming up a little concerned I could be without any.
I personally only take them when I need them now. I know it says 1/2hr before food, but I've found eating little & often (basically eating like my 4yr old - white/beige diet, minimal fruit & veg) helps, & double check with your specialist nurse, but I was told, take as & when needed no more than 8 a day. Hope this helps
Cairo, am also trying to graze with small portions but as have type 2 diabetes have to be little careful. Will try without today unless feeling particularly nauseous. Unfortunately still waiting for response from nurse so thought would see if anybody had experience. Thanks.
Oh no poor you. Though to be honest, I'm not fancying sweet things, just crackers, toast, cheese - though I've found sucking fruity boiled sweets helps to refresh my mouth? Maybe sugar free ones? (I'm so sorry, I'm not up on diabetes - I'm a bit rubbish about all things medical, the doctors & nurses have had some fun with me, especially after the chemo, I'm a 43 yr old business woman, & they're having to speak to me like I'm about 10 ). Hope it helps & good luck with everything :-)
