Since being diagnosed with Bowel Cancer in April 2019, my CEA markers were 10.For the past four years, after also suffering Lung Mets. these markers have ranged from 8 - 10.
Today, after being pronounced clear after my recent scans...My CEA levels are now 'normal,; which apparently means 5 & below. I am 5 now (despite being clear.) I am also a smoker - which means these numbers are higher.
I don't have much trust in these CEA levels in bloods. I was always told from my colectoral team - that they would not be concerned about these markers - unless they suddenly rose to 15 & higher.
