Thanks for all of your good wishes, Dave had the SIRT procedure Wednesday and came home yesterday. Consultant very happy with how it went, Dave's a bit sore in the belly area and tired but all good. Scan in 3 months to see results. He's continuing with chemo Folfox and Avastin to make sure no extra surprises while we wait for this to work. Oncologist offered him a break but Dave was adamant he wants to stick with chemo, as last time he had a break his tumours grew a little. Love Frances xxxx

Thanks Court, it feels like forever when you're waiting for news, I took my laptop and completed 24 modules of a diploma I'm doing, certainly focused my mind.
Today the pain is manageable, he's tired but only to be expected. For the procedure he had 10 students watch on as it's not a procedure they do very often, due to the tight criteria, and the cost too. I read in the UK just 2 centres carry out this procedure and it's just become available on the NHS.
Hope your Mum is doing great,
Love Frances xxxx
