Do anyone think it's ok for me to take imodium haven't started chem yet but for some reason iv got dioreah

  • I think given your GP said not to it would be worthwhile running it by your hospital consultant . They will have a better idea about the size and location of your bowel tumour . It’s really easy to do . You just find the contact secretary number and email them asking if they can contact your surgeon for you or ask your oncologist. They will also have an email address . They will have a visual on your tumour and know if it’s safe for you . Your oncologist will be managing your care for the foreseeable future so might be a better idea to start there .

If you contact them early you will get some help . Or our helpline staff have access to Macmillan nurses 0808 808 0000.

I will ask Macmillan for some ideas too.

  • That’s great they are investigating it  Macmillan also suggested “ask a nurse “ as that section is now back open if you ever need it .

I have included the link for you for the future if required

Codeine can be useful for people with diarrhoea anyway so that might slow things down for you too .

Do you start Chemo this week ?
