Had my op on the 19th. They said I was hi risk and a challenge, just about everything you want to hear. Well I’ve had it. I’ve been very emotional and very tired. Love and kindness to everyone xx
Thank you all for your kind words. Because of the big hernia I have I’m in a lot of discomfort. The surgeon who did the op didn’t mince. ha words . Told I will feel unwell for a while. They wasn’t sure if it could have been done but they did it. He told me 3 to 6 months before I feel anything like myself. Finding it hard to get up and down stairs hard and losing a bit of my independence for now. Unfortunately my mental health has suffered badly. He thinks I’m up up before the MDT this Thursday. It was he said it was cancer. because of the inconclusive pathology reports wasn’t sure if it was pre cancerous or not, so feeling a bit scared. I think on my hospital discharge papers that my next appointment is January 20th next year. I’m hoping someone will phone after Thursday and let me know about reports. I asked about chemo, he said let’s deal with one thing at a time and whether chemo will be of a bennifet to me. Sorry if this is a bit of a ramble. Sending hugs Nelly 55
Hi Nelly1955
Good to hear from you and I think mosts people’s mental health would be challenged after all you have been through .
Time to focus on your recovery and wellbeing. You have endured so much and her you are cancer free . I know you have concerns that are very legitimate about post op chemo so hopefully the MDT will look at all the facts .
Very early days post op for you . I noticed my mum turned a corner two to three weeks later . Lots of internal healing going on .
Take care ,
