This booklet gives all the different chemo combinations that oncologist have at their disposal!
Although my mum’s cancer returned after chemo it still had a role to play in reducing its size before each liver resection ! I think surgery is the best to eliminate microdisease but my understanding is the chemo can bring about the stability or shrinkage that allows other treatments to be used in combination !
We always thought of it as a stepping stone ! Just the way we processed it !

Ahhh thanks court I wonder if today he will suggest a different chemo as I think lung op will still go ahead but today hopefully is to discuss the uptake on liver and the tiny bowel inflammation which pet showed up … am so terrified there’s going to be no more treatment but as you know I’ve no mutation … papworth nurse did say lung op can go ahead but onclogist needs to see me first oh the stress today … taking hubby in case bad news! Overthinking hey … I can’t find you previous messages when I joined this week they were reassuring

My mum used the same chemo twice just to achieve stability!
I think you have a good grasp of what they will want to talk about ! They will want to give you a treatment plan that pulls everything back under control !
Thats positive they want to do the lung treatment ! But they may want additional measures too !
These meetings are tough for sure but sounds as though you have a good team around you !

Thanks court am sure that’s all they want me for lung nurse did make it clear the op was still an option but your right while there’s other things going on they do need to discuss it with me and come up with a plan I think during covid he always rung me but now it’s face to face again I’ve convinced myself it’s bad x
