Afternoon lovelies
Hope you're all doing well.
Apologies couldn't think of a better title. I had a colonoscopy done on Thursday just gone. It was done at an outsourced clinic.
They said during the procedure that I hadn't done the bowel prep right, as there was still some poo left in my bowel. I had done all the prep they'd asked me to do. But wondering if the laxatives they gave weren't strong enough. I was using plenvu and starting the prep at 6pm the night before as directed.
I called my macmillan nurse to explain what happened and she has said that they'll do another at the hospital, as they've got all my records and will have a better idea of what to look out for.
Has anyone else been through something like this?
Thanks
Not quite the same, but I once had a capsule endoscopy which I was given Kleenprep for. It didn't completely clear everything out though so they said next time they would give me Moviprep instead, and that did the trick. I don't have experience with plenvu, but just to say it does sound to me like some laxatives are more effective than others, so I have my fingers crossed for you that next time the procedure will be successful. It sucks to have to do it twice, so I feel for you!
