Help help help.
I have T2 rectal cancer. I went to see the Surgeon last Friday and he said that I may be able to take part in a trial called Star Trec. Has anyone had this treatment,?
can’t get many answers, don’t fancy Radiation, the other option is surgery. What do I do, they are ringing tomorrow for an answer.
Hi Ynot, Radiotherapy trials are very well designed and thought out, they undergo small scale local versions of the trial before going to a national trial and are overseen by a competent ethics team. I have almost 40 years experience of working in radiotherapy and for your retired nurse relative to describe radiotherapy as dangerous is baffling. I think it's a good idea that she has retired but a shame that she is still peddling such dangerous rumours.
