Hi just after some advice, iam 37 female been have some lower abdomen pain/discomfort, slightly softer stools since may, lost half stone in an unknown time as I don’t usually weigh myself, was 10,8 now 10,1 but maintaining/ had bloods done all fine and ultrasound to rule out gallstones, had faeces sample for ibd, came back neg, dr wants a fit test done, I’m really worried, didn’t sleep well last night, sending away test today, ive had no visible blood in my faeces, dr said they are just ruling things out, if no blood I ll have a routine colonoscopy but if blood she’ll put it through as urgent, the instructions on the fit test all says about cancer :(
Looks like you are being proactive, The numerous doctor's and specialists I consulted over a 5 Year period could not get to the problem. I had low iron for Years but FOBT x9 was negative and FIT below within normal levels. I had no symptoms until 4 Months before diagnosis. Suddenly, belly pain and dark poo, weight loss of 4kilos in 2 Months then weight gain of 9 kilos in 1 Month due to fluid retention. Dehydration, constipation. I DONT think doctors can overlook younger people. Theres more cases now. 2 people aged 18 and 23 were diagnosed in my area of England in recent Years.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
