Struggling today with side effects of chemo. Face looks like I’ve had a chemical peel! Lips and nose keep splitting and bleeding. Hands sore. Lost my appetite. Jut finished 7 days of injections in tummy. Thank god I’m having a break for holidays. Really don’t know if I can continue with treatment. Went away at Whitsun and felt really well as If I didn’t have bowel and liver cancer. It’s the chemo that’s making me feel awful and side effects seem to get worse. Had 14 rounds of chemo last year and 2 liver operations. On 10th round of chemo this time. Consultant wanted me to have 12 rounds of aggressive chemo and then hoped to cut down on chemo. Got to have a scan and then discuss results when I come back off holiday. Don’t usually feel sorry for myself as I know I’m lucky to still be here, but just having a bad day.
