I would welcome some views about this.
I have surgery on July 15th for a 4” tumour near my appendix.
My question is, should I be self-isolating?
I met the surgeon yesterday and he said my scan shows 2/3 swollen lymph nodes. If they’ve got cancer, that puts me in Stage 3, I think, which I believe makes the surgery more urgent.
I am a secondary school teacher and we’ve had pupils taken out for COVID or COVID contact, including some I teach, most recently yesterday. As I understand it, catching COVID at this point will delay surgery, possibly for a long time.
I may have answered my own question, but I’d like to hear what others think!

Sorry bikesandbees I answered this in another thread as it was the first one I came to .
I think this covers your area . I would certainly be self isolating given your occupation as well . You definitely want a straight uninterrupted path to the cure !
Hope the leaflet gives a bit more information for you to work with . To be honest I have not read it all so dismiss what might not be relevant .
Late night last night . Had the pleasure of seeing friends for a meal after such a long time . We chatted well into the night ! Not that technically minded at the best of times . So now you have two replies !!
Hope you have a relaxing day ! We have some good weather !
Take care ,
