We've just had the scan follow up call with Dave's Oncologist, and it's blown our minds, in a good way. From being inoperable, and even after the last scan they said it probably would never be possible, today the Oncologist is sending Dave's latest scan to our centre of excellence to discuss the possibility of liver and or peritoneum surgery. The latest scan shows no cancer in the peritoneum or lymph, primary tumour has disappeared and very small bits in liver, so a little window of opportunity has opened up. He says they may say no, but he thinks it's worth discussing with them. We have no idea what could be involved if it goes ahead as we'd kind of written it off, but we have to wait and see. He's stopped the Avastin from this cycle to prepare Dave if surgery can go ahead. It's a bit emotional for us both, a glimmer of hope when we thought there was none. Love Frances xxx
