I had a PIC line put in nearly three weeks ago. They said I have small veins and they spent ages prodding around and I had two local anaesthetics. The room was warm and I felt really hot and ny mouth was dry.
They eventually got it in but in the top of my right arm and inside it which is very sensitive.! It still feels sore. :-(
Hi Angie green eyes Well it’s good that you’ve finally got the pic line - it will be so much easier especially if you have small veins. Have you had any chemo yet? It might be worth mentioning to the nurses that it’s a bit uncomfortable and they can tweak it a bit for you. I seem to remember mine being a bit sore one time and they just redressed it and then it was ok
