Hi, I had a tumour removed from my small intestines 9 days ago. I came out of hospital 3 days ago and obviously sore my stitches across my belly button have been fine until yesterday. I took my bandage off around 4pm as was advised even in hospital this was absolutely fine. Later on I noticed that my jumper and t-shirt were soggy and just thought I’d rubbed up against something. Whilst I was stood in the shower, I could see liquid dripping down my stomach. We re-dressed it and it’s leaked a little enough to discolour the top half of the bandage until now
I just wanted some reassurance that this is normal or whether I should get it checked out as it’s not inflamed
thanks
Hi . I didn’t have anything like that and was told to ring the ward if I had any problems within 2 weeks of discharge so I would recommend that you do that and they might be able to run it past the consultant on his early morning rounds x
