Hi all recently diagnosed with bladder cancer. Had TURP. Now starting my treatment. I so scared of the future. How do I cope
Hi PEW and welcome to this friendly group. It is hard in the early days when you are unsure of the future, but BC can be treated successfully. There are many of us here to support you going forward. Feel free to ask any questions or just come and talk. We understand. Do you know what they have planned for you? Best wishes.
Yes I have 6 sessions then 6 weeks off then camera. If not returned another 3 sessions this is for the next year then if clear camera every 3 months for 2 years. The if clear every 6 months for 2 years then yearly for 10years. I just feel that my life at least for the first year is constantly under treatment. Waiting every session to see if returned?? How do you cope with this??
Hi PEW. The trick is not to look too far ahead and just take things one step at a time. I know that sounds hard at the moment but once you get on the treatment path you get in to a routine and have something positive to focus on. Talking helps and there is always someone here to listen. Best wishes.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
