Hello I have a TCC and have finished local chemotherapy. But the follow up is unclear - I was told a repeat cystoscopy in 1-2 months and that’s passed now. I’m worried about recurrence as cystoscopy is the only means of detection.
Hello Chocdoc938f80 and welcome to this friendly group. I am sure you will get plenty of support here as you go forward. TCC is the most common form of BC and can be treated successfully in many cases. Is it the chemo directly in to the bladder you have been having? They need to let your bladder heal before going in again but usually within 2 months. Have you been allocated a CNS (Cancer/Clinical Nurse Specialist) you can call?. If not give the urology dept. a call to chase them up. A few weeks delay would not usually make much difference. Best wishes.
Rily, many thanks. I’ve not been allocated a nurse, no communication at all since the chemotherapy into the bladder. The nurse practitioner who did the weekly treatments was super but she doesn’t do follow up. I’ll phone the department
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
