Just been diagnosed with high grade muscle invasive bladder cancer and a bit scared of the future. Not sure if I can have treatment as one of my kidneys has been badly affected by the tumour. Just hoping I can have radiotherapy. In limbo at the moment as waiting to hear about that but it’s taking awhile and the waiting is not always easy. Trying to stay positive as don’t feel ill.

  • Hi Dake,Welcome to our friendly group.I hope you will find it helpful and supportive. The waiting is never easy but people tend to feel better once they know what treatment is available.Fingers crossed you hear something positive soon.Best wishes Jane

  • Hello  and welcome to this friendly and supportive group. The days of uncertainty and not knowing are always anxious times. Once a plan is in place, it gives you something positive to focus on. Hopefully you will see an oncologist soon to find out which way you are going. Best wishes.

    Best wishes to All,   rily.

  • Thank you for that. Appreciate it

  • Thank you for that. Much appreciated

  • Another one hoping you get to hear something soon. In my experience (also muscle-invasive though no problem with my kidney -  they  found I had a lung clot and a heart problem and still managed to operate) every medic I met was fighting hard to get me through it. They took it personally which I found very comforting.

Hope your lot are the same.

    All the best,

  • Feeling scared is absolutely normal cos this is scary. But the medical team will help you and the people on here will be there for you. I struggle often. Wishing you positive thoughts x

  • Thank you. I know I am not the only one

  • Hi Dake!

I think we all agree the waiting is the worst bit! I was going out of my mind as I had to have 2 turbts before I got a proper diagnosis. They weren't sure if I had a T1 or a T2 high grade cancer so I felt like I had to start the waiting all over again when I had to have the second investigation turbt.

When I finally got an answer and they decided what treatment route they were going to try I felt a lot better!

I felt really alone when I was waiting for diagnosis etc but then I found this lovely lot on this forum and all their words of wisdom and support really helps.

What ever treatment options the medical team helps you through there's daily support here too! We're all travelling different paths but there's more than likely some of us who are on a similar one!

Wishing you the best of luck for whatever they decide and sending my love!

Keep us all posted with good or bad news, there's always lots of us here for you!
