My last post was that I had had an all clear cystoscopy following initial BCG treatment. Since then I’ve had another three maintenance BCG treatments the last of which was a month ago. I have a flexible cystoscopy booked for three weeks time but have suddenly started getting bladder pain and was wondering if this was a side-effect of the BCG or something II should contact my doctor about? I did mention it to the nurse who does the BCG treatment who said it may be because the bladder is still sensitive. As usual, my mind is working overtime. The pain has lasted for over a week on and off, but does respond to ibuprofen. My concern is that although I had a few side-effects for a couple of days after the BCG treatment, this new pain seems to have started several weeks after…and is quite intense at times. Has anyone experienced similar?
Hi Jessie15 . Not had BCG myself, but we know it can cause various reactions, Always best to check with the medics however if it continues or gets worse. Best wishes.
