Sorry to bother you. Have just had a Cystoscopy because I had bleeding. They have discovered something in my Bladder. Very worried it is Cancer. I have got to have Biopsies. I suffer from anxiety and depression. Very frightened.
Kind regards James.
Hello James (Retrovanian)
I am out and about today but have been following your journey and have every sympathy for you.
I am free all day Monday and am happy to give you a lift to and from the hospital (I only live round the corner). That way you know you have transport and don’t have to worry about wait times.
Have a think about my offer. My message box is open and you can send me a private message and get you back up and running and with as little as possible to worry about.
As I am traveling back home from London it may be later tonight or tomorrow when I am able to respond.
Kind Regards - Brian.

Thank you Brian for the offer it is much appreciated. I managed to get to Oldham today for the bloodtest It only took a few minutes. All that way for a one test. I am in on Wednesday for the TURBT if I decide to go ahead with it. Stlll worried about possible complications. Incontinence if the tumour is near my Sphincter and I don't want permanent stents in or to take antibiotics by mouth.
Kind regards James.
Hello James (Retrovanian)
It's no problem, I know how you worry about these things.
You now need to put the worry of Wednesday at the back of your mind. I have been following the posts on this forum and reading up on the TURBT. You have had some great advice from people who have had the TURBT procedure and it's just an inconvenience having to attend hospital BUT It's in your best interest to go on Wednesday. Once at the hospital, you will meet the staff doing the procedure, they will tell you what they are going to do and you can let them know of your worries.
None of us want issues - I live my life and my cancer lives with me - you know my feelings and the staff at Royal Oldham basically saved my life in 2021. This is an opportunity to put all your worries to bed and start the path to a full recovery. Not everyone gets the chance - so grab it with both hands.
James, you can do this and your Macmillan family from both the Bladder and Prostate forums are rooting for you - we have come a long way together - lets take the next step!
Kind Regards - Brian.

Hi James,I hope you will go for your TURBT.I’m sure there will be an understanding member of staff there to calm your fears. At least you will know more once the TURBT is done.
Best wishes Jane xx
Hi James, really well done for going to get the blood test. I understand your fears and we are all here routing for you. You took courage in your hands today and you can do it again on wednesday. Keep in touch James .very best of luck to you.
Much love Angela x
Thanks guy's for all the encouragement. I can live life happily the way things are at 70 and the TURBT could destroy my life as it is. I doubt if I will make it through as I am now anyway. I will not know if I am incontinent until they remove the catheter.
Antibiotics by mouth make be very ill because of my IBS and this also affects my bladder.
Terribly unhappy and frightened at the moment.
Kind regards James.
I really understand how you feel. Sometimes it just seems too much doesn’t it? The fear the bad possible outcomes. It’s so overwhelming. I’m new to all this. And really struggling. My only words are I’m so sorry you are having such a difficult time. 70 is not old though. Please please don’t give up and listen to those people who have walked this road. Sending you hope and love
Thanks JoyceF. I really appreciate your words and the fact that you are struggling as well gives me some hope. It's not just me.
Kind regards James.
Hi James. If you go to your appointment, both the surgeon and anaesthetist will sit down with you and explain everything they will do. You will be able to ask any questions and let them know of your concerns. They will not do anything without your consent. Best wishes.
It’s not just you James. This is the hardest time. Hang on to that hope. X
