I’ve just had a 2nd turbt which was more invasive than planned , tumour was covering both ureters and up into them and the top of my bladder consequently causing a lot of discomfort.post op nearly 3 weeks but still sore and very frequent passing urine and bowel movements, anyone know how long this will last for?
I do have BCG treatment planned but a little apprehensive about it !
Hi Rob180 and a warm welcome to this friendly and supportive group. Sorry to hear you are still in some discomfort following your second TURBT. Things usually clear up after a couple of weeks but can take up to six weeks to fully heal. In the meantime, it is important to drink plenty of water to keep things flushed out. If things don't improve, it may be wise to contact your team. As regards BCG, many here have had BCG treatment and side effects vary from person to person. Some sail through it while others have some discomfort. Lots of experience here so feel free to ask anything. Best wishes.
