My husband was diagnosed with Follicular Lymphoma and during a scan they found he also had Bladder cancer.
We are now back and forwards to two different Hospitals and two different consultants.
Today he is having a TURBT procedure, so hopefully we will find out soon just how far the tumour has progressed, then its back to see the consultant about the Lymphoma.
We are still in a state of shock. I wondered if anyone else has been in this situation where you are dealing with two different cancers.
I am trying to be calm and support my husband as best I can, but TBH I just need advice on how to support him as he wont discuss the situation, and just says oh it will be ok after I've had a bit of chemo.
I would welcome any advice you can give me.
Thank you.
How rotten for you both. After the TURBT there is a wait of a few weeks for the lab report to determine stage & grade & what treatment is most appropriate. I guess that could be complicated by the lymphoma, but hopefully the consultants will communicate about that. BC is very treatable if caught early.
Perhaps once the results are in & you have been able to talk to the consultants, you will have a clearer idea of the path ahead, and what part you can play. Best wishes.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
