Hi all,
Not sure if I should be in this group at the moment, I was diagnosed with womb cancer nearly 2 years ago and had surgery and chemo, I was left with 3 enlarged lymph nodes that they are keeping an eye on. I have been having pains in my right hip for a couple of months and for the last 3 weeks I have had blood and blood clots in my wee. I’m worried my cancer has returned to my bladder, I have had antibiotics for infection but no change and done the over the counter medication for cystitis and no change. My macmillan nurse and oncologist dont seem worried but I can’t stop worrying. I’m booked in for my 6 month check up ct scan on 12th August. X
Hi Rach_E and welcome to the group. It is understandable you are worried considering your history. Good to know you have a scan scheduled, but CTs are not ideal for bladder cancer. You may want to push for a flexible cystoscopy. This is a camera in to the bladder and the most efficient way of identifying anything untoward in the bladder. If it does turn out to be bladder cancer, then bc can be treated successfully. I hope it goes well. Best wishes.
