Cystoscopy looming

Hi KellyD. The procedure itself is quite painless, but slightly uncomfortable. You should be able to see for yourself on screen and anything untoward will be pointed out to you. I hope all goes well. Feel free to ask any questions. We know the early days of uncertainty and not knowing can be stressful. 

Yes! Very stressful. Trying to act normal for kids/grandkids is the hardest part. I didn’t know they would point out anything unusual so thankyou for that. I was imagining weeks of waiting for results 

Hi KellyD,A warm welcome from me too.You will still have to wait for the full results but they will usually tell you if everything looks fine or if something needs further investigation.They use a numbing gel before the scope goes in and the procedure is quick usually only a few minutes.At my hospital you don’t even have to put on a gown just remove clothes below the waist.I hope it all goes well.There is lots of advice and support on here.Best wishes Jane
