Hi,
I was wondering if anyone had cystitis cystica and also wanted to know how they’ve been coping with it. I’m 25 and have had it for 5 years. I’m going to end up needing a cystectomy and it’s very nerve wracking. I feel like I can’t enjoy my youth because it’s benign and could turn malignant at any moment.
Hi J9D7 and welcome to the group. Not familiar with this particular form of cystitis but it sounds really uncomfortable. If it does come to needing a cystectomy, we have members here who will be able to answer any questions you may have. I hope all goes well. Best wishes.
Hi,Welcome to this friendly group.I have heard of this but don’t know much about it.Is it cysts you get in the bladder ? I had Interstitial cystitis from my early 20’s and that caused the cells in the bladder to change over the years.I presume something similar must be happening with your bladder. In 2005 they found changes that they said might turn into cancer at some stage but they didn’t know when or if it would happen.I was monitored for 14 years and then they turned malignant and I had bladder removal in 2019.So although I had a different condition I do understand what it is like to have the worry of benign cells turning malignant.I hope you get some emotional support on here.Love Jane x
