Hi, my name is CazyG, I am waiting for results of a bladder tumour that I had removed last week. It was 6cm x 4cm and had a necrotic surface. I had the operation last Thursday (1 week ago) and the hospital phoned me yesterday to make an appointment next week. I am really worried, my husband is going stir crazy waiting for the results.
We have looked up everything to do with bladder cancer and how quick results come back. Having the results come back so quickly does this mean I have cancer?? Any answer will help us.
Hi there
i had a biopsy done and 2 weeks later I received the results so this probably normal. They will tell you either way then. Good luck.
Hi Cazy and welcome to the group. You can never read anything in to timing of appointments. It is all down to availability of the consultant. It takes about 10days to process the biopsies, but follow up consultations take place any time when the docs can fit you in. Try and stay clear of Google. There is a lot of out of date and misinformation out there. When you have your meeting they will discuss the next step. Best wishes.
Toffeeladypluskids . Hi there and a welcome to you too. Best wishes.
I agree with the advice regarding Google...misleading!! Not always, but rather listen to the oncology team.
Just had neobladder reconstruction in October 2022, now with 5 metastases!! Ah well
Just stay positive, there are many alternatives, just talk to the experts.
