Hi Twitters and welcome to the group. Do you mean grade 3 rather than stage 3 ? we know BCG can cause various side effects including bleeding. BCG can inflame the bladder lining . It is important to keep drinking plenty of water to keep things flushed out and contact the medics again if it does not stop or get worse. I am sure someone with personal experience will be along to share their experience. Best wishes.
Hi twitters, welcome to the group.
Your journey has given me a small thread of confidence. I was diagnosed in 2021, had turbt, regular checkups. Clear until last week. 3 areas of minor recurrence which were dealt with by cautorising during cystoscopy. Ive been chasing for info on why ive not had bcg. But now i can see from your comments, they may wait and see at what rate it re occurs. Hope your symptoms get sorted.
Many thanks Deb.
When are you due for next cystoscopy? I would want to expedite that, just to be sure no further recurrence, that might mean rethinking the treatment plan. Best wishes.
Good afternoon Twitters. I’ve followed a similar course of treatment except that after 15 BCG up to August last year I was told no more BCG for 12 months. A flexi cystoscopy at the end of January this year has identified a small recurrence. I’m presently waiting for a date for diathermy to treat the recurrence but it seems to be taking some time to arrange. I haven’t had the reaction that you have described, best wishes, John.
