Hi I'm new to this group and really need some advice and reassuring. Have had BCG treatment for last year which was going great. However had follow up camera and there was a reacurance, have had this removed , hospital have been great and moved very quickly. They have told me that as it had gone into muscle I have to have chemotherapy then bladder removed and radiotherapy. Not worried about bladder removal as I know this will be the best solution as the success rate is really good. It's the chemo I'm most anxious and worried about. Has anyone else experienced this. To be honest I'm scared about the whole diagnosis and treatments. Would love to have anyones feedback xx

  • Hi  and welcome to the group, although sorry to hear it has come back and muscle invasive. The chemo is usually Gem/Cis (Gemcitabine and Cisplatin). I had six weeks of this without too many problems, although we know some people do have some kind of nausea. Long day one week followed by half day the following week. For muscle invasive, it is usually bladder removal or radiotherapy. Many here have had removal and I am sure will be along to share experiences. I hope all goes well. Best wishes.

    Best wishes to All,   rily.
