Hi I am a newbie here, iv'e recently been diagnosed with TCC , had cystoscopy back in October, then I went into hospital in November for a bladder resection, I have just had my results back to confirm this and also I have another Cystoscopy/ Biopsy the end of the month. just very anxious to know what to expect next really, i'm very hopeful though that they have caught it early.
Hi grey hair and welcome to the group. Many of us have been where you are now and understand what a worrying time it is, but be aware bladder cancer can be treated successfully. A follow up TURBT is par for the course and usually not as severe as the first. Just a mopping up operation to check nothing is missed and gives a more accurate diagnosis. You may also be called for a CT scan to add to the picture. You should be given a stage and grade and this determines the next step. Feel free to ask anything. Lots of varying experience here. Best wishes.
