Hello,
Have just joined the group. Sat in hospital with my mum who has squamous cell bladder cancer. In early 2022 she had an operation to remove part of her bladder followed by Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy.
Unfortunately the cancer has come back aggressively and has spread to other parts of the body including spine, lungs and lymph nodes - we are told it’s stage 4. She has just undergone radiotherapy on her spine and we are now waiting for Chemotherapy. We are spending a lot of time on line researching other types of treatments. Does anyone have experience of this or any advice? Time is of the essence and we want to do everything we can. Is there anything out there we could / should try.
thank you
Hello KG1 and welcome to the group, although sorry to hear mum's cancer has spread. It might be worth asking if there are any clinical trials in your area. I also remember reading recently that a new immunotherapy drug has been approved for bladder cancer. Something else to explore. I hope it goes well. Best wishes.
