We are currently caring for my grandad who’s been diagnosed with bladder cancer that’s metastasised to his bones, lungs and also l4 vertebrae in his spine. He’s now palliative care but we still don’t know what to expect because no one’s telling us anything yet, they apparently told my grandfather everything while he was suffering with extremely high levels of calcium in his blood so he was very confused so does not remember anything. We have started him on some painkillers but he cannot stand without our help and this seems worse since his painkillers so we don’t know if it is them or the cancer.
Hello H.adiva and welcome to the group, although sorry to hear about your grandad. Has your grandad been allocated a specialist nurse? If so that would be your best avenue for information. You may also find it helpful to call the free Mac helpline on 0808 808 0000 (8-8pm) who may be able to advise. Best wishes.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
