Hi,
I hope that my experiences may be encouraging to others -- diagnosed Bladder Cancer No. 2013 in Airedale Hospital. Chemo. Jan -Feb 2014 - no help at all -- BUT surgery was still an option and was a cystoprostatectomy with ileal conddddduit was carried out at Bradford Hospital April2014 -it may be an old Hospital, but had superb Surgical and Nursing staff who saved my life - Urostomy pouch changed daily is a very good alternative to a wooden box and one I will always be grateful for.!
P.S: I was told by the Ward Sister that if I did what I was told I would walk out of there 10 days later --- and she was right - I did ! Moral of story is -- think positive thoughts and "Do what you are told" !
Hi xbargee. Thanks for sharing your experience. I am sure it will be an encouragement to those recently diagnosed and in a state of uncertainty. I started off about the same tie as you, but went a different route. Hope for all. Best wishes.
