Bit of a strange day

Hi

I was looking at some old pictures on my phone and realised that it was 5 years ago today that I got my "official" bladder cancer diagnosis. I must admit to feeling a bit strange and I am a person who looks forward and back, but it did give me a bit of a chill.

Anyone else get similar feelings?

  • Hi Ian. I know what you mean. Like you, I am several years down the line. I sometimes think how my life was changed when I was diagnosed. At 64, I took early retirement, something I had never planned for. Saying that, I am enjoying my retirement and keep myself busy. You never know what happens in life, but just have to go with the flow and Que Sera Sera. Best wishes.

    Best wishes to All,   rily.

  • Hi Ianw,Yes I do.For me it all happened quickly, diagnosed 3rd July 2019,first meeting with surgeon 27th August and cystectomy 30th September.I didn’t really process it all until the recovery.I feel fortunate to have had the surgery pre pandemic.Best wishes Jane

  • Hi

Yeah I was diagnosed at 58 and took early retirement. I've had a few ups and downs, but by and large life has been pretty good.
