Hi,
Diagnosed yesterday with bladder cancer. Op within 3 weeks, had Ct scan yesterday to determine if cancer elsewhere in body. Feeling raw. Getting wonderful support from family. This is just the start of a long process I imagine...
Good morning Bristol Bear. I was in the same situation as you a year ago so you are right in saying it’s a long process. The fact is that it’s a necessary process and is composed of waiting for results, undertaking procedures and getting on with whatever you like doing. You’ll read on here about TURBT , BCG and all sorts of things you’d never heard of before. Best wishes, John.
Hi Wa 123,It is a scary time facing a major operation but people here will do their best to help and support you through it.I had my bladder removed in Sept 2019 and wear a bag.I joined this group in July 2019 and it helped so much.Ask any questions, there is a lot of experience here and several of us have had a cystectomy.Love Jane
