Just an idea a bit of fun, I mean nearest town or city will do.
Just to see where we all live throughout the country or obviously even countries.
I'll go first Chesterfield but originally from Coventry, it will always be a bap or batch but I have to say Cob these days ordering food
And before any says it, it's not a barmcake, teacake or a bread cake
Sorry darling I couldn't resist that one, no offence intended obviously, just harmless banter.

I just couldn't think of anything else, it's bad I know that's all that came to mind, but it's a shame people take offence so easily these days. I mean it's hard for me being close to 50 navigating this weird new world we live in
I feel like a dinosaur half the time, but I do also have a strange warped dry sense of humour too, and am generally not offended by much if anything.

I should have added roll is perfectly acceptable, roll, batch or bap are perfectly fine and normal, anyone else who calls it something daft is utterly wrong

I was born in the Bristol area but only lived there for 9 months before we were off to Malta for 3 years, then back to the Cotswolds, followed by Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire, Hants (mid), Hants (coast), Bucks, Bucks again but different school, Germany for 3 years (near Monchengladbach), Lincs, Staffs, Bucks again, South Northants, Bucks again and South Northants where I've settled for the last 30+ years. When in Germany we actually moved house 3 times because dad got promoted, posted to a different base then had to get a private German hiring whilst he got an extension of a few months for me to complete my GCE A levels. As you may have guessed, Dad was in the forces. I attended 10 different schools. Rolls or Baps acceptable. Ray
