How are you my friend ? I am having withdrawal symptoms , having not heard a joke from you lately haha. I had BCG today and its a bit of a tough one. A Tim vine style joke would be much appreciated. Awaiting Mr Halofan making a delicious veg lasagne for tea . I imagine you maybe getting some golf in while the weather is good . Oh yes you are holidaying soon, green with envy . take care x

  • Morning Angela, glad you’re feeling better today. BCG can be such a trial. Your mindfulness advice and wellbeing advice to Nigel reminded me of one of my coping strategies I used during painful BCG moments. Following my 2nd Instillation I was waiting the dreaded two hours before trying to pee anticipating the sting. Reading was a no no and couldn’t concentrate. Music? Maybe? I played a Kate Bush track “Hello Earth” and was captivated by the male voices on the track chorus. I found out the idea is from a Georgian folk song. I found that and played it. The voices and chorus are so beautiful and wistful. The two hours shot by. The first pee was still excruciating. Have a listen to both. Hello Earth-Kate Bush and Tsintskaro- Song from Karelia- Kakhetia by The Rustavi Choir. Enjoy or Not. Garviv

  • Its fascinating Garviv that I have listened to Hello Earth many times and never occurred to me to look deeper than just listening. Kate bush is quite the genius isnt she. I have never even heard of Georgian folk music , but listened to the track with an open mind( folk music isnt a genre i would normally listen to ) and found it incredibly soothing, almost monastic . Thanks my friend, you always bring something new to the table x

    Much love Angela x
