Evening all,
I’ve come to the conclusion that I really need some professional help with the anxiety ( not that you guys haven’t been brilliant)
my local Maggies opens on Friday, so I will make a point of going in there for a chat, and probably a cry…
my CNS recommended that I go there…it’s at the Royal free where I get my treatment…
Been looking at their web site, I think (hope) they can really help me…
happy new year to you all.
Love The Nigel’s…xxxx
p.s Mickys the Guinea pig has gone back home…we was told that his Mum had left the country, so we got a shock when she turned up….we miss him xxx
Hi Nigel, just catching up today . Your poor pooch. my cavvy had a torn ligament and was seen by an orthapaedic vet ! I thought he was marvellous and gave us good advice about how to help her. she was old and had a few issues so he wouldnt operate . She just wagged her tail throughout, lovely dog. How did the operation go ? I know you will be worried and gutted for him, its hard watching them helpless. I am certain he will be spoilt and treated like a prince.
For some reason which i havent managed to figure out yet , i have been having anxiety myself. might bob along to maggies this week for a chat , you have inspired me .
Let us know how doggie is ?
Much love Angela x
Hello Angela, sorry to hear you are experiencing anxiety. I think it is probable after you had some positive news last year. It is easy to ride the tide of good news but I think we all have the little devil in our mind who keeps reminding us “ Cancer” I try and dismiss this when it appears. Keep busy, do different things, stimulate the mind and body. The little devil is kept at bay. I hope you get some relief at Maggies. Garviv x
Evening Angela, we have him home, he is trying to sleep, two lots of pain meds and antibiotics for him…he’s had a toilet and eating and drinking so I know he’s on the mend…
got a massive bandage on his leg…im ok because I’m being strong for him…
I think with me the anxiety is due to the BCG… it seems to happen for no reason at all… but now I know I can deal with it…I’ve still not been to Maggies…
I hope you can ride out the anxiety…remember it won’t last…I know the Maggies near me do some courses for anxiety…when I get this little one sorted im going to look into it…
if you need a laugh, Tottenham are playing tonight
hugs and love to you….The Nigel’s xxxx
Hello my friend, thankyou for your care and support Garviv. I think you are probably right you know, its always hanging around in the background and we try to bury it. Its time I called the little bully out haha. I have just knitted my first beanie hat for mr halofan so that kept me busy. not being able to get out with this ice and snow everywhere is frustrating, i love being outdoors but not going to risk it . I shall just have to keep on keeping on as they say. I have the footy on saturday so may vent at the referee , its tradition lol ! Maggies is about 10 miles from me so will go when the icy road eases, it is like sheet ice on my road . Thanks Garviv . How are you ? you and the family have a lot of worry right now. sending you love and care x
Much love Angela x
Hi Nigel, so glad he is home and doing ok. Is he sleeping with you & mrs nigel tonight ?
Thanks for your care, anxiety is a bloomin pain , and you are right it will pass. I will have to open the tool box and dig deep for meditation and breathing i think. I could do with a chat though otherwise the thoughts just go round & round . Hopefully get to maggies this week if ice melts enough to get the car out.
just watching spurs solanke needs to stop being off side , i had a feeling liverpool would start to drop off after xmas . so far so good for spurs x

Morning Angela, lucky old Mr Halofan keep him warm. I remember my mother and grandma always knitting. The sound of knitting needles and grandmas clock ticking away. Wonderful memories. They both always looked at peace whilst knitting. I hope your anxiety is soon at manageable levels. A fresh dusting of snow today with severe frost but a beautiful sunny day - 3. Three grandchildren coming for tea tonight. Eldest boy is cooking. Today’s project in freezing garage clean golf clubs and trolley, tidy golf paraphernalia. SIL waiting for blood test and then results. Sending you a hug. Garviv x
morning Garviv, mr halofan quite likes his beanie hat, however watching him walk down the road this morning I couldn't help thinking he looked like a character from tv series crossroads lol ! ( its the hat ) . Its good that you have a project today , although freezing garage would defo put me off. I really dislike this freezing weather. How lovely to have your grandson cooking for you tonight, hope its something spicy and he can get expert tuition from his grandad . I think my next knitting project will be something fairly simple again , it does help focus the mind . Its bizarre that i have reached the grand age of 64 and just learned to knit from youtube , everyday is a school day !!
Received your hug and sending one right back at you xx
Much love Angela x
