Hi All. How is everyone doing? Anyone stuck indoors? Remember, this is a support group, and things don't always need to be medical. There is usually someone here if you just want a chat, a moan, or any stories. My wife has been stocking up on paint, so guess what I will be doing in the near future. Best wishes.

  • Hi

My CSN came back to me pdq. Apparently, I have a very small growth that has been slowly getting bigger over the years. No other traces anywhere else, clear lungs etc. The scan is  precautionary just cover all bases and if there is anything it's in a very, very early stage.

I have to say my CSNs are great. Lot happier now things are clearer, still a bind, but I faced worse.

  • Sorry to hear Mr W had similar at his last scan Turned out to be a small stone which the consultant managed to fragment and get rid off Fingers crossed for you Must admit been on a bit of a downer too waiting for dates for Merkel cell scan and removal Our useless GP messaged this morning she would like to talk to Mr W about his recent dermatology consultation Over the phone on the 8th May Declined I know Gps get points for these follow ups and have targets but they can go to H**l on a handcart Rang over All the best xx

  • So pleased your CNS came back to you so quickly, I must say I also have a brilliant CNS who always replies to me very quickly. At least you now know exactly what the situation is so can deal with it in your own way, and so good we have regular check ups to reveal any changes.

  • Yeah, definitely in a better place. My CSN parted with message of "just like to cover all our bases! Keep you alive for another 40 years if you don't mind!"Rofl

  • Hi Ian, I think you know the answer to will it ever end! My last cystoscopy was a marvellous all clear, but my right hip joint is now completely wrecked by osteoarthritis. I'm on a long waiting list for surgery, and afterwards I'll have to rebuild all the muscle tone I am losing rapidly. Once all that's over I expect something else will go crook! I have a hunch that this is old age and then you are dead Slight smile But hey I feel I've had a good long life at 76, so I can take it one day at a time. If your consultant wasn't too concerned, maybe dont worry too much? Sending love Hx

  • Hi,

My CSN got back to me and isn't concerned. The growth has been there for some time and slowl growing and tiny. The kidney scan is precautionary, but if treatment is needed it's likely to be successful.

In short, it looks like I've been under surveillance for some time, which I don't mind. Her parting message: "just like to cover all our bases! Keep you alive for another 40 years if you don't mind!"
