hi everyone. I had a rigid cystoscopy today. The good part is the original tumour has not come back. But there is a small 1cm red patch they have decided to biopsy. I suppose I’m just wondering if others have any wise words! I have an appointment for results in two weeks. I’m guessing stay of google and try to stay calm might be a plan? Thanks xx

  • Aw thanks Trevor! Really appreciate it x

  • All's well here thanks, funny enough had a biopsy today and they took samples of a red patch.

This was the 10th time being knocked out since Dec 2022, think I need a loyalty card or something. Seems like I know all the anaesthetists now.

Can't complain though, consultant seemed happy with the bladder.

Sound's scary that you have to wait for a heart monitor, is that one of those things you wear for a short while and records heart activity 24/7.

    Hope it turns up soon.

  • Best wishes for your biopsy results.I presume it’s going to be a 24 hour monitor and I have had those in the past.Jane x

  • Thanks Jane,

Best of luck with the monitoring..

  • I recently had a cystoscopy which also had a red patch. 3 biopsies were taken and I had laser treatment at the same time. My results were back the following week. It was inflamation off  the bcg treatment at the original tumour site. Try not to worry too much. I have number 9  bcg treatment on Monday then I also have my next cystoscopy 12 sept. Take care

  • Hi JoyceF

I had my original tumours removed in 2023, a few more appeared in a different part of my bladder in 2024

I had them removed then 6 weekly chemo sessions and so far both cystoscopies this year are clear

Yours maybe nothing but if there are more tumours they will treat whatever they find successfully I hope

    Much love Tina x

  • Thank you Tina for replying xx
