hi my first post looking to chat with anyone with bile duct cancer and had a whipple procedure and are now on the chemotharapy road
No just know I'm being referred to Oncologist and should see her within 2 weeks
That's good. I saw my Oncologist after 2 weeks and then it took 3 weeks til i started my chemo.
Hi Cankerline, my husband has bile duct cancer and he has been on Urso for a good while, but recently has experienced severe itching which prompted his consultant to prescribe Colestyramine ... he has only been taking it for about a week and so far it has not cured the itching, how long did you take it before it started to work?
Hi Emanjay, I think it took about a week for itching to decrease. I did get itching back again despite the sachets of Colestyramine so they have increased my dose a couple of times so I now take 4 sachets per day. Your husband could ask for an increased dose. I hope that works. Best wishes, Cankerline
That’s great thank you we will ask if he can up his dose.
Thank you, it is pretty bad, mainly his back and legs ... we keep putting moisturiser on his skin but this gives only minimal relief.
it is so frustrating being unable to see a doctor in person these days isn’t it, hard times.
Stay safe.
I also phoned my Nurae Specialist who backed me up. Cankerline
