Just had a phone call from my nurse, confirming that the biopsies have shown that the cancer's there.
She's going to get in touch the oncologist for an appt asap also with the Macmillan nurses, so looks as though is this the start of the end
When this happened to me, I thought the same as you but I was amazed at the amount of tools they have in their "fight cancer" tool box. I realised I actually knew very little, so please dont think negatively (i did) im sure they will have some good news for you, they just cant share it until they have a full picture of your cancer type and status, good luck
Hi Rosie,
Well here goes, unfortunately received the news on Monday, it's Cholangiocarcinoma of the liver, leaves my head spinning. Have now had an update from the treatment hospital with an oncology appt in 2weeks. Just do not know what treatment will be suggested.

I am so sorry you've had this diagnosis but Rosie above is quite correct there are lots of treatments and maybe surgery will be possible (My husband had surgery just over a year ago). I know it's easy to say, but try not to fear the worse, it is the worse time waiting with the unknown.
Have you looked at the AMMF charity website that is dedicated to this cancer? I believe there is a section giving advice of the sort of questions to ask, and how important it is to be treated at a specialist hospital as well as lots of other advice.
Take care x
