  1. Hi folks, well here goes and my 1st experience of this procedure, what a one it was!!
  2. Was welcomed by the Radiographer assistant, he assured me that 10/12 mins would complete this, erm thank goodness i did not take it all in!!
  3. He phoned to notify the doctor that i was present, the doctor came along, introduced himself and continued with the scans. He then gave me a consent form to sign, pointing out how dangerous this procedure can be,  the liver if snipped, I could have internal bleeding, also the bowel, o my goodness me!!
  4. Then he asked for the nurse, not one about!  He did state that he would have to call this procedure off as it is too dangerous to continue without a nurse monitoring the blood pressure, sats and the hear rate.
  5. At last, after 10mins a nurse turned up from A&E, the doc then asked for a cannula to be inserted, the nurse had not been trained for this, so along came another nurse to insert this!!
  6. All this preparation took up 45 mins of the doctor's precious time, so now lift off!!
  7. Oh no flat on my back for 6+ hours!
  8. So now it's the waiting game for test results re Chemotherapy, which I'm really dreading, the oncologist will put me on the right dosage for this.
  9. The fact is I'm now very aware how long this procedure can now take!JoyJoy
