28 year old recently diagnosed with Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma

I'm so sorry to hear you had this diagnosis at such a young age.  My husband had similar surgery last September but  he is 75 and on a trial that also includes capecitabine so I can't be of much help.  He was diagnosed stage 2 which we felt very fortunate given his age. 

All I can say is it sounds extremely positive that you were diagnosed early, at stage 1, with clear margins.   I think you may be a rare case and I hope your post finds someone similar.  I'm also thinking those with a good positive long-term outcome may probably have left the site?

Have you visited the AMMF website, it's designated to this cancer and can also give lots of info & support?

Hi, 

it went really well, it was a long operation which took 9 hours so I was sore for a little while after. Recovery in hospital was good, the nurses and doctors are really good at keeping you comfortable as best they can. I was really nervous before as well but my best advice it not to worry as you will be in really good hands and it will feel like it’s all over really quickly.
