Hi everyone. I completed my treatment in August 2025 after initial surgery in July 2024. Caught early and all good.
My 12 month CT scan has shown a coincidental appendiceal mucocele and I’m now prepping for a colonoscopy on Tuesday and surgery sometime in November.
I’m assured this is not related to the treatment but it does make me wonder - and it’s a new rabbit hole to disappear into
so I’m now facing an open appendectomy with a small bit of Cecum removed (they cannot do laparoscopically for risk of rupture) and depending what he finds worse case a right sided hemicolectomy. My fingers are firmly crossed for the lesser surgery.
If it wasn’t for the anal cancer this wouldn’t have been found so silver linings and all that.
if anyone has any experience please message back!
Helen
