Hi everyone
I have finished 5.5 weeks of chemo and radiotherapy on 21st July. I have been extremely sore down below and around my bottom. My oncologist advised me to stop using flamazine which I didn't fi d helped with soreness. Iv been using sudocreme which had been really soothing and the soreness had almost gone. I know this sounds mad but I feel like I have a nappy rash developed..sore pimple like areas in the anus area...is this normal. Has anyone else suffered with this. I'm still using sudocreme.
Thank you for reading
Hi LILYPOP,
I found the Flamazine stung quite badly when my skin was sore & had to dilute it with a bit of aqueous cream & never got round to applying it ‘neat’. My skin still gets a little rashy now & again, both my surgeon & my oncologist have said this is akin to nappy rash, they both said the new skin that forms following our treatment is like a baby’s skin & can be prone to this rash, they both also recommended Sudocrem as it acts as a barrier cream & has antiseptic properties. I was warned the new skin would never be like the skin that was there before the radiotherapy but I don’t have many problems now to be honest it’s just a bit more sensitive than before.
