Hi. I’m in London. Is there a ladies Anal Cancer forum group, either online or group. Thank you.
Yes you are on the right site. You will find lots of lovely people on here and great help and information.
Hi ,
Firstly I’d like to welcome you to the forum.
Unfortunately there isn’t a female specific AC group on the Macmillan online community. I’m not sure about elsewhere as I haven’t accessed any other support groups. We’re a friendly, open minded bunch of people here & will do our best to offer you support if needed.
Nicola
Sorry I need to rephrase it, is there a forum specifically Anal Cancer just for women?
I’m happy for you to PM me and ask, I’m a 50 year old woman and I’ve gone through the treatment in the last year.
kimd regards,
Oh really thank you. Mine was in the last year too... how do I pm you? X
Hi
This forum is for both sexes however, there tends to be more women active on here. We talk about everything, all the taboo subjects. However, if you’d rather not talk on the open forum you can request to follow members and direct message them.
Anal Cancer and the side effects of treatment can be hard to talk about. We do our best on here to remove taboo’s by talking openly about sensitive subjects. It helps to normalise things.
Feel free to share or ask absolutely anything, you will always get a response.
Thanks
Sx
Meant to add, I’m London based also, under Guys Cancer Centre.
Thank you. Yes, I’m London under Charing Cross. I’m exceptionally private, it makes even harder to discuss it. I’ve never used a forum before how do people pmsg me without advertising my contact details.
Click on the name of the person you wish to be-friend. Under the name you will see ‘add friend’ click on this and it will send a message for that person to approve. Once approved you can then talk to each other directly. Only your Macmillan handle @Donz2019 is shared. I’ve just sent you a friend request. Hope this helps.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
