Hi all, I was treated for AIN3 in 2023, have been having regular anoscopy since then. Biopsy in July found recurrence of AIN3 so having further laser ablation next week.
A few days ago, I had an appt with my gastro team, as I am having issues with bowels, urge/ incontinence and my Anal speacialist doesn’t seem to think its associated with AIN3. The gastro Dr examined me and found a suspicious lymph node in groin. Swollen, hard, not moving and painless. Wants to do a lymph node excision and biopsy the whole thing- in the next few weeks.
Obviously, my mind is going into panic. Any one else had similar experience. Could something have been missed ? I haven’t had a scan of any sort since May
Thanks
Hello Worried44yo
I am sorry that I can't offer the reassurance that it will be nothing; however, please take comfort from the fact that your doctor is keeping a very close eye on you and hopefully things will move very quickly. I don't have shared experience but hopefully other forum members who have had your particular experience will reply.
It really must be such a worrying time for you and I hope very much that it all turns out to be nothing; please keep us updated, and remember the forum is always open to support you at any time.
Big hug
Irene xx
