1 week post treatment

Hi Poopypants well done on getting through treatment now rest and recover. I had the mucous discharge and was told it was normal apparently your body always produces it but treatment can make it go into overdrive as your body is trying to heal itself. I had no issues with pee but I've seen others on here who have, keep drinking plenty of fluids. If you are concerned ring your specialised nurse and she will put your mind at rest. Sending hugs xx

If you have a peri bottle then squirting that (or just pouring water from a jug or bottle) can help as it dilutes everything, Hopefully by this time next week you will be healing nicely and will almost have forgotten this! x

I had that discharge too it cleared up around 2 weeks post treatment.  I had terrible burning when peeing, make sure you get it checked if it carries on . I left mine thinking it was just radiotherapy induced but it had turned into an infection.

Thank you for your reply, I do have a peri bottle and if I make it in time it defo helps. Everything is so urgent with toileting though!! Hope that settles down too..

It really wil, you will feel so much better soon. I am 6 weeks post treatment, those 2 weeks after are tough but you are almost there. I am just about to go back to work which i didn't think I would be when I finished the treatment.  Stay strong x

You sound as if you are really doing well at only a week out of treatment, I am relieved that you are coping so well.  At that point I had all sorts of mucous and fluid loss and I wasn't even sure where it came from.  However it wasn't green.  It gradually eased off but I definitely was still passing mucous from my back passage 12 weeks after. 

If you are concerned do get your urine checked; it may just be inflammation but the test literally takes a couple of minutes to get the result.

And keep on drinking lots of fluid and having that rest!
