Hello.I am almost 12 weeks post treatment. I saw colorectal consultant today. I have had a complete response. No sign of tumour and lymph nodes appear clear. Nodule on lung has not changed and will be scanned in 3 months with other scans 3 months after that. So I’m on The surveillance path providing lung nodule is ok. So all I can say is that after 28 days of radiotherapy and two lots of chemo via a portable pump I am feeling much better now. I get tired easily but can cope with that - I just sleep when I need to. Given that the consultant said there was every reason to be optimistic I am reassured. So at the moment it’s full steam ahead.Take heart newbies it does get better, so on days when your bum and everything else hurts and going to the toilet is agony I can reassure you it will get better.
