As you know my Mum was diagnosed with Anal Cancer and the replies from all you lovely people have been more than helpful . She is midway through week 3 now and they have said she may need a blood transfusion . Is this a normal procedure that patients have while having chemo/radiotherapy ? I was due to go away for 3 nights this weekend and its not a problem if I need to cancel , as I would rather be here if she needs me to be . Any advice appreciated .
