My mum finished her 28 day treatment schedule last Wednesday. She was so pleased that the hospital visits were over!! BUT...
Nearly seven days and she is in so much pain with the radiotherapy burns. The discomfort/pain I am hoping has peaked today, but I am concerned she may get an infection. Should I be worried? Is this normal? I expected the two weeks to be bad for her, but the red roar, broken skin and bleeding has stopped her moving at all. She's using Flamihydro cream 3 times a day from the hospital and regularly douches with a slight salt water.
Any suggestions or wise words, appreciated.
